This was truly one of the most astounding coincidences I have ever experienced.

As we were getting ready to head back on the trail and back to the car, I saw a woman holding a dog much the same way I carried Dexter in.  She saw someone petting Dexter and asked “what kind of dog is that?”  I wandered over and told her he was a Cavachon - half King Charles Cavalier spaniel, half Bichon Frise.  Their eyes widened and said “ours too!”  They asked where I got him and I said “Mt. Vernon.”  “Us too!” Then her husband said “they could be the same age?  How old is he?  “Just over four months,” I told them.

They were littermates!  There were three boys in that litter.  These are two of them.  They named theirs Mr. Bingley, after the character in Pride and Prejudice. I, of course, named mine after a serial killer in a Showtime series

My parents have a story like this with their golden retriever meeting her littermate on a beach 6 hours from home. So adorbs.
