My mom just called me and asked me if I remembered trying to spend a summer counseling kids at a camp for orphans. Like, it was my summer plan to volunteer, not work, at a camp for orphans.
Honestly, I had pretty much no memory of this and only remember it vaguely now that she mentioned it.
I actually remember at one point telling my mother “I’ll never do drugs. I mean, why would I need to if I can just hold puppies and kittens?”
It should come as no surprise to regular readers of this blog to learn that since that day, I’ve never actually owned any puppies or kittens.
